“Composable commerce is an approach to ecommerce where brands select best-of-breed vendors to form a customised tech stack.” - Shopify

Composable commerce is becoming one of the biggest shifts happening across enterprise ecommerce. Rather than relying on a single platform to manage every part of the commerce ecosystem, businesses are increasingly adopting more modular architectures.

That might include:

• Shopify Plus for commerce

• ERP systems for inventory, pricing and operational management

• POS systems for retail operations

• CMS platforms for content

• customer support platforms

• search and merchandising tools

• fulfilment and logistics systems

• marketing automation platforms

The challenge is: “How do all of these systems operate together reliably in real time?”

This is where a lot of the real complexity in modern commerce now sits.

As ecosystems scale, orchestration becomes just as important as the storefront itself.

This is something we see consistently across enterprise ecommerce projects.

The frontend experience is only one layer of modern commerce architecture. Behind it sits an operational ecosystem of integrations, APIs, workflows and connected systems that ultimately determine how scalable, reliable and adaptable the commerce experience becomes.

At Pipelabs, this is the layer we focus on.

Through Shopify Plus, integrations and Pocketknife, we help architect and orchestrate composable commerce ecosystems that can operate reliably at scale.

That includes:

• ERP integrations

• real-time inventory sync

• customer-specific pricing logic

• operational workflow orchestration

• POS connectivity

• B2B functionality

• fulfilment integrations

• scalable API-driven ecosystems

At Pipelabs, we focus on connecting systems, no matter how complex.
