The business required tight integration between ecommerce, ERP, and marketing systems to support advanced product structures, promotions, and real-time inventory accuracy.
The Challenge
Manny’s Music required a scalable, enterprise-grade ecommerce solution capable of supporting a complex omni-channel retail operation while remaining tightly integrated with their Pronto ERP.
Building on the success of the Store DJ implementation, Manny’s needed to extend this capability further to support, advanced product structures, complex pricing and promotion logic, real-time inventory accuracy across channels.
All while maintaining high performance, flexibility, and a seamless customer experience. The challenge was delivering this increased complexity without compromising speed, reliability, or future scalability.
Our Approach
We leveraged the foundations and learnings from the Store DJ project to deliver an enhanced Pronto integration tailored specifically to Manny’s Music’s operational and commercial requirements, building on the already developed Pocketknife Pronto D2C integration to meet Manny’s needs.
The solution was designed with an enterprise-first mindset, balancing robust backend integrations with a flexible, high-performance frontend experience.
This project involved an enterprise ecommerce integration, delivering an omni-channel retail solution through an ERP-driven Shopify Plus implementation with a headless commerce build.

The outcome
The Manny’s Music platform delivered a robust, scalable omnichannel ecommerce solution fully integrated with Pronto ERP, providing a seamless and future ready retail ecosystem.
Key outcomes included real-time synchronisation of products, pricing, inventory, and promotions across all channels, significantly improved operational efficiency through automation and reduced manual intervention, and a flexible, future-proof Shopify Plus platform capable of supporting continued growth and evolving retail requirements.
To achieve this, Pipelabs extended the Pocketknife Pronto integration suite to accommodate additional custom retail logic and complex omni-channel needs, delivered a fully headless Shopify Plus build to enable greater control over the frontend experience while maintaining strong backend integrations, and worked closely with stakeholders to align technical delivery with commercial objectives.
Custom Pronto programs were developed to support unique pricing models and kit products, while core components of the solution included deep Pronto ERP integration for products, variants, pricing, inventory, and promotions; Pocketknife middleware supporting advanced retail requirements such as kit pricing, open box products, and omni-channel gift vouchers; a high-performance headless Shopify Plus implementation; and Klaviyo integration to power customer engagement and marketing automation.
